Our Team

Dr. Sara Toomey is originally from Cape Coral, Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Florida before completing both a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science and her Doctorate of Optometry, graduating with honors from Nova Southeastern University in 2018. She went on to complete an internship and a competitive ocular disease residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida, where she received advanced training in glaucoma, retinal disease, neuro-ophthalmology, and corneal conditions. In addition to her clinical background, Dr. Toomey also earned her Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, enhancing her expertise in leadership, practice management, and strategic care delivery.

Dr. Toomey is the owner of Eye-Site of Boynton Beach, where she provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on ocular disease management, dry eye, and specialty contact lenses. Before returning to Florida, she served as Clinical Field Director and Externship Director for a multi-state optometric group, mentoring new doctors and leading clinical operations. She previously served as an adjunct professor and has lectured on topics including conjunctival neoplasia, macular degeneration, and anterior segment imaging. She currently serves as a Trustee for the Palm Beach County Optometric Association and is completing her Executive MBA at UNC Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School with a concentration in Strategy and Leadership.

Dr. Patrick Dupuy is originally from Queens, NY. He first graduated from Coastal Carolina in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology before continuing on to receive his Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in 2018. Following graduation, he completed an ocular disease and primary care residency through the VA Boston Healthcare System in Bedford, MA. Dr. Dupuy’s primary area of interest includes diseases of both the anterior and posterior segment of the eye. He is particularly interested in the ocular manifestations of systemic disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and dry eye. In his free time Dr. Patrick enjoys running, traveling, watching and attending NBA games, and trying new dishes.

Lauren is always proud to share that her history with Eye-Site began in 2007 when she received her first eye exam. She later earned her Bachelor of Science from The University of South Florida and discovered that her passion for fashion, eye care, and helping people made opticianry the perfect career path.

Her dedication and work ethic were evident early on when she fast-tracked her Florida Dispensing Optician license in just two years. Today, she serves as both Practice Manager and Frame Buyer for Eye-Site, overseeing daily operations while carefully curating the optical’s frame selection to ensure a diverse range of styles and fits for every patient.

Lauren is a Board Certified Licensed Dispensing Optician qualified to fit, adapt, dispense, and prescribe contact lenses under her professional scope of practice. She enjoys helping patients find eyewear and contact lens solutions that not only meet their visual needs but also help them feel confident and comfortable every day. Her favorite part of opticianry is building lasting relationships with patients and helping them see and look their best.

David is a Lab and Eyewear Specialist with over 30 years of experience in the optical industry, including previous ownership of his own optical store. He specializes in lens edging and custom finishing, with a strong focus on precision work in our in-house lab. His extensive hands-on expertise helps ensure high-quality, accurately crafted eyewear for every patient.

Lara recently earned her Bachelor of Science from Florida Atlantic University. She is excited to begin her career in eye care while working toward her long-term goal of attending optometry school and becoming an optometrist (OD). As a member of our front desk team, Lara helps patients with scheduling, insurance questions, and day-to-day office support, and she looks forward to welcoming each patient with a friendly experience.
